I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
